Jennifer M. Williams, Attorney
Jennifer M. Williams is a senior associate at Reese Law, P.C., practicing family law and related criminal law. She is experienced in handling every type of family law matter in Virginia, including separation, divorce, custody, annulments, support, and protective order cases. Ms. Williams brings more than fifteen years of negotiation and trial experience to Reese Law, P.C., representing clients in Fairfax and throughout Northern Virginia.
Ms. Williams earned her J.D. from Regent University School of Law in 2007, after earning her B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh where she was a track and field scholar-athlete.
After graduating from law school, Ms. Williams sought to shape the legal minds of the next generation as a pre-law adjunct professor of legal research and writing and constitutional law at Hampton University. Thereafter, she honed her litigation skills as a prosecutor in the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney, City of Norfolk and the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney, City of Newport News. In both offices, she served as a lead prosecutor in bench and jury trials. Ms. Williams’ experience in private practice initially focused on criminal defense and family law, including almost eight years as a Guardian ad Litem for children.
After practicing for more than 13 years in the Hampton Roads area, Ms. Williams brought her experience to Northern Virginia before joining Reese Law, P.C.
Ms. Williams believes in the importance of being involved in the community. She’s committed to service as an active member of her sorority, where she shows her passion for voter education and registration. In addition, she’s participated in judging and conducting mock trials, mentoring students, and facilitating and participating in panel discussions regarding the practice of law for high school and law students.
Ms. Williams is a past president of the South Hampton Roads Bar Association, a former board member of the Old Dominion Bar Association, and a former member of the Greater Peninsula Women’s Bar Association. Her current memberships include the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the Northern Virginia Black Attorneys Association, and the Virginia Women Attorneys Association.
